Pumanaw nitong Miyerkules ng umaga si Negros Oriental Governor Carlo Jorge Joan “Guido” Reyes. Si Reyes na dating bise gobernador ng lalawigan ang pumalit na naiwang posisyon ng pinaslang na gobernador na si Roel Degamo.
Sa Facebook post, sinabi ni provincial administrator Karen Lisette Molas, na nakatanggap siya ng impormasyon mula kay Guihulngan City Vice Mayor Eunica Reyes, kaugnay sa malungkot na balita tungkol kay Gov. Reyes.
Sinabi pa ni Molas na hindi siya awtorisado ng pamilya Reyes na ihayag ang detalye tungkol sa sakit at dahilan ng pagpanaw ng gobernador.
