Waddell’s interim tag runs out Jan. 31, but Mayor Philip Brown is confident the role will be filled by then.The selection committee will be comprised of Brown, deputy mayor Alanna Jankov, Coun. Justin Muttart, chair of the human resources committee, and Waddell. Council will meet with the candidates deemed qualified for the job by the selection committee before a vote is taken on the successful candidate.“I have no skin in this game," Waddell said, referring to the fact she came out of retirement to help the city out and will return to retirement when the post is filled.
Following the council meeting Dec. 12, Brown told SaltWire Network the city hopes to have a new CAO in place in early January.
