President Marcos has set up the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Marawi Rehabilitation and Development (OPAMRD) to oversee the rebuilding of Marawi City and nearby localities. The OPAMRD will be headed by the Presidential Adviser for Marawi Rehabilitation (PAMR) and will work to integrate, coordinate, and accelerate government programs related to the rehabilitation and development of Marawi City.
President Marcos has established the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Marawi Rehabilitation and Development ( OPAMRD ) to oversee the reconstruction of Marawi City and surrounding areas. The OPAMRD will be led by the Presidential Adviser for Marawi Rehabilitation (PAMR) under the supervision of the Office of the Special Assistant to the President ( OSAP ).
The President stated that the OPAMRD will integrate, coordinate, and expedite the implementation of government programs related to the rehabilitation, development, and restoration of peace and order in Marawi City and other affected areas. Its functions include advising the President on rehabilitation matters, overseeing strategies and projects, coordinating with local government units, and monitoring the implementation of presidential directives. The OPAMRD is required to submit bi-annual reports to the President. The President encouraged all relevant departments, agencies, and LGUs to provide full cooperation to ensure the effective implementation of the OPAMRD
