Baguio City was affected by power interruption after over 20 electric posts toppled due to strong winds from Typhoon EgayPH.
According to a report by Joanne Ponsoy of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on “24 Oras,” the entire city and some parts of Benguet remained without electricity since Tuesday, July 25.Currently, 60% of the electricity supply has been restored in Baguio and some parts of Benguet.
Several trees were also uprooted along Burnham Park. The city environment and management office has scheduled clearing operations.The strawberry field in La Trinidad, Benguet, was also submerged in floodwater.Several areas in Ilocos Norte were also flooded and lost electric supply. According to Breves Bulsao of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, the fiberglass of the new building of the Ilocos Norte provincial government broke.
Laoag Mayor Michael Marcos Keon said this was the strongest typhoon that hit the city in the last four years.
