The Thunder Bay Police Service said 29-year-old Jessie Veikko Allan Kuokkanen was arrested early Wednesday morning and faces charges of attempted murder and armed robbery.
Emergency services had been called to the 300 block of Fassina Street on Monday evening, where a man was found with serious injuries.The police service's major crimes and forensic identification units are involved in the ongoing investigation. Investigators have asked that anyone in the area with home or business surveillance cameras, or dash camera footage, in the area of Fassina and Valley streets to review their footage and come forward if they have anything they believe to be relevant.
