Tolentino unveiled the appointments during the POC General Assembly's first meeting for 2025, held at the East Ocean Seafood Restaurant in Parañaque City.

The focus of these appointments, according to Tolentino, is to prepare the Philippine teams and athletes for the demanding schedules of international competitions. Among the prominent appointments, Ricky Vargas was named chef de mission for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, while Al Panlilio will lead the delegation to the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. The POC also announced further appointments, including Rep. Richard Gomez as chef de mission for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Dr. Jose Raul Canlas for the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, and Stephen Arapoc for the Chengdu 2025 World Games. Richard Lim, a prominent figure in karate, will lead the Philippine team at the Asian Winter Games in Harbin, commencing on February 7th and concluding on February 14th. The search for a chef de mission for the Third Asian Youth Olympics Games, scheduled from October 22nd to 31st in Bahrain, is still ongoing. Notable among the appointees are Vargas, a former POC president and current chairman of the boxing federation; Panlilio, the incumbent first vice president of the POC and a prominent figure in basketball; Gomez, the incumbent second vice president and a key player in modern pentathlon; Canlas, the treasurer of the organization and a notable figure in surfing; and Arapoc, who heads the muay association. The SEA Games will take place from December 9th to 20th in Chonburi, Songkhla, and Bangkok this year. The Milano Cortina Winter Olympics are slated for February 6th to 22nd, 2026. The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will be held from September 19th to October 4th, 2026. Former football president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta has been appointed as the chairman of the ethics committee, while Atty. Daniel Hofileña, a non-POC member, will head the arbitration committee. Tolentino further announced that the POC General Assembly had approved a 2025 working budget of P35 million, which represents a decrease of P8 million compared to the previous year's budget. This reduction is attributed to the Paris Olympics preparations and participation
