The Philippines on Saturday recorded 834 new COVID-19 infections as the active tally went down to 16,489.
The total number of confirmed cases is now 4,060,960, according to the Department of Health’s latest data.In the past two weeks, the National Capital Region had the highest number of new cases with 5,003.
It was followed by Calabarzon with 2,208, Central Luzon with 1,093, Western Visayas with 595, and Cagayan Valley with 488.As of Friday, the national bed occupancy rate was 19.5%, with 5,364 occupied and 22,157 vacant beds. VBL, GMA Integrated News
