The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday logged 2,459 new COVID-19 infections as the active tally rose to 26,399.
According to the DOH’s data, the active tally climbed to 26,399 from 25,293The DOH said the National Capital Region reported the highest cases in the recent two weeks with 11,063, followed by Calabarzon with 5,397, Central Luzon with 2,864, Davao Region with 1,446, and Western Visayas with 1,089.
A total of 1,328 new patients recovered from the illness. The total recovery tally is now at 3,888,516.At least 15,517 individuals were tested, while 340 testing laboratories submitted data as of Thursday, October 13. The bed occupancy in the country decreased to 25.2%, with at least 7,217 beds occupied and 21,406 were vacant as of Wednesday, October 12.
