The country reported 1,623 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
The number of active cases is at 24,283, as shown in the Department of Health’s latest data.
It was followed by Calabarzon with 5,349, Central Luzon with 2,753, Davao region with 1,431, and Western Visayas with 981.Since the Covid-19 virus hit the Philippines two years ago, the DOH has already confirmed a total of 3,973,091 cases.
