ARREST warrants have been issued against 29 active and retired police personnel implicated in the highly irregular anti-narcotics drug operation conducted in October 2022, which resulted in the seizure of billions worth of shabu.In a statement, Philippine National Police chief General Rommel Marbil said the arrest warrants were issued by the National Capital Judicial Region Branch 44 for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
He also ordered the creation of a dedicated task force for the apprehension of those who have standing arrest warrants.Of the 20 active personnel, five were assigned to the National Capital Region, four to Ilocos, two to Calabarzon, three each to Mimaropa and the National Headquarters, and one each to Central Visayas, the Civil Security Group, and the holding unit.
