PhilHealth introduces new and enhanced benefit packages, increasing coverage for various medical procedures and services. These include packages for heart disease, kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, oral health, and emergency care. The upgrades will be financed without increasing member contributions.

The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (Phil Health ) launched new and expanded benefit packages for Filipinos. These include enhanced packages for Ischemic Heart Disease-Acute Myocardial Infarction, Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), Kidney Transplantation, Preventive Oral Health Services, and Outpatient Emergency Care. The new packages offer increased coverage for various medical procedures and services.

PhilHealth also announced a 50% adjustment in case rates for almost 9,000 benefit packages starting January 1, 2025. These enhancements will not require an increase in contributions rates. President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has assured that PhilHealth has sufficient funds to support these benefits despite the proposed zero subsidy for fiscal year 2025. PhilHealth President Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. urged partner health facilities to strictly uphold the 'No Co-Payment' policy mandated by the Universal Health Care Act
