PHILIPPINE and US Marines demonstrated on Wednesday lethal firepower in two separate live fire exercises in the culmination of the 10-day Kamandag 09-25 Exercises in Ilocos Region and Tarlac.

The Philippine Marines , in a statement, reported that troops successfully executed counter-landing drills simulating defense against enemy lines. The Kamandag exercises were conducted on the rugged coastline of Northern Luzon, where Filipino and American Marines launched an amphibious assault, showcasing their ability to deliver a rapid and decisive response to seaborne threats.

'This high-impact training event was closely observed by military partners from the United States, France, Netherlands and Thailand, highlighting the expanding role of Kamandag as a platform for regional security cooperation and joint force development in the Indo-Pacific,' said Maj. Jan Malana, exercise director for Philippine Marines Public Affairs. Meanwhile, in Tarlac, joint troops held live-fire drills using 81-mm mortar in the presence of Thailand observers.
