PH unemployment rate rises to 4.3% in January

THE country’s unemployment rate stood at 4.3 percent in January 2025, lower than in the same month of 2024, but higher compared to the last few months of the previous year.In a statement Thursday, March 6, 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority said the labor force participation rate was recorded at 63.9 percent in January 2025.This translates to a total of 50.65 million Filipinos aged 15 and over who were in the labor force, or those who were either employed or unemployed.
