FILIPINO students coming from various universities in the country, as well as a few young entrepreneurs, were recognized for their groundbreaking projects at the second edition of the Swiss Innovation Prize Competition, which culminated in a grand awarding ceremony at the Azalea Hall, Somerset Central, Salcedo Village, Makati City, on Nov.
21, 2024.Nine exceptional groups composed of 23 individual finalists were awarded for their innovative contributions to three strands: Digitalization, Sustainability and Prosperity.Organized by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Philippines, in collaboration with the Swiss Cultural Fund, the competition spanned three days from Nov. 19 to 21.
The winners in the Digitalization category, presented by Daniela San Agustin, president of Ivoclar Vivadent, were DapatWatt by Erwin Bonto, Sean Natividad and Kate Plantilla of De La Salle University Manila, 1st place; NutriGuard by Bea Pallera, Kline Lepardo and Angeli Robes of University of the Philippines Diliman, 2nd place; and Project Zeolite by Tristan Listanco, Princess Fajardo and Sittie Mamangcao of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, 3rd place.
