The Philippine Red Cross staff and volunteers conducted cleaning activities at “Paeng”-hit schools in Laguna.In a statement, PRC said that it used its 10,000-liter water tanker truck to flush out inches-deep mud in Santa Rosa Central School, Aplaya Elementary School, Aplaya National High School, and the Schools Division Office brought by the tropical storm’s heavy rains.

PRC added that its staff and volunteers also went to the old Laguna City Hall, Santa Rosa Covid facilities, National Bureau of Investigation office, Laparan Street, Tatlong Hari Street, and Barangay Market Area to clean the area. “As of today, 07 November, the PRC payloader has cleared 1,078 cubic meters of mud, or equivalent to 77 dump trucks full of mud in Santa Rosa,” PRC said.

The organization stated that Santa Rosa City was one of the most flooded areas in the country due to Paeng.
