PH praised for holistic efforts to empower Filipino women
THE Philippines opened the International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security on Oct. 28, highlighting its commitment to advancing women's roles in peacebuilding. With the theme 'Forging collaboration and convergence for advancing women, peace, and security,' the three-day conference gathered 691 delegates from 84 countries, including high-level officials and parliamentarians.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo emphasized the conference's role in shaping international consensus on the Women, Peace, and Security agenda, aiming to adopt the 'Pasay Declaration' as a commitment to women empowerment.
