The Philippine Embassy said in an advisory that Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Turkey with short-term residence permits must also secure their work permits starting January 2020.
In an advisory released on Dec. 6, Directorate General of Migration Management Ministry of Interior in Turkey said starting Jan. 1, 2020, all foreigners with short-term residence permits should provide a reason for staying in the country in accordance with the law.
Foreigners that are employed are also advised to secure their work permits by submitting their requirements to the Ministry of Labor, Family, and Social Services. According to the government of Turkey, the issuance of residence permits for non-Turkish citizens will be more thorough starting Jan. 1, 2020.
