MANILA, Philippines — ALONG with the Filipino community in Paris, the Philippine Embassy in France lauded the courage and determination of the Philippine Paralympic delegation participating in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
The Embassy organized a community gathering on September 1, 2024, to pay tribute to the Philippine Paralympic s team.Ambassador Junever Mahilum-West, the Philippine Ambassador to France, led the Embassy in warmly receiving the Philippine Paralympic s team, emphasizing the occasion's significance for the Filipino community in Paris .In his speech, Ambassador Mahilum-West highlighted the importance of inclusion and empowering individuals with disabilities.
The powerful documentary illustrates the resilience and determination of Paralympians to succeed in the face of adversity.In attendance were Michael Barredo, the President of the Philippine Paralympics Committee, Richard Bachmann, Chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission, and Para athletes Ernie Gawilan, Cendy Asusano, Angel Mae Otom, Agustina Bantiloc, Jerrold Mangliwan, and Allain Ganapin, along with the united and supportive Filipino community in Paris.
