PRESIDENTIAL Communications Office acting secretary Cesar Chavez has resigned.In a statement, Chavez said he submitted his irrevocable resignation to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on February 5, 2025.He said he will pursue endeavors outside of government but still within the realm of public service.Despite signing off, Chavez said he will continue to believe and support the administration’s vision.
“Although there is much for which I am grateful and a long list of people to thank, I leave with only one regret: in my estimation, I have fallen short of what was expected of me,” he added. .Chavez said he will be replaced by former journalist Jay Ruiz.Two months into the job, former executive secretary Victor Rodriguez resigned citing the need for more time for his young growing family.
