PCA said Monde Nissin would require a steady supply of coconuts for its new product, Goodnom Fresh Gata. The discussion also extended to the company’s pursuit of sustainable energy sources, particularly biofuels derived from coconuts. Buted welcomed this commitment and suggested involving other agencies implementing the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan to widen the scope and impact of these efforts.
The agency said both parties would have another meeting, which will include Monde Nissin’s Research and Development and procurement teams to deepen the collaboration.
