Marcos expressed profound sympathy and sincere condolences for Reyes’ death in a Twitter post on Thursday, June 1.
The Chief Executive said he was “deeply saddened” by the demise of Reyes, who succeeded slain Gov. Roel Degamo in March. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the people of the province he served so faithfully. May his legacy continue to inspire and his memory be cherished,” he said.
Reyes was the second governor to die in office this year after he succumbed to a terminal illness on Wednesday, May 31. He was 62.related stories
