MANILA, Philippines: Just two months after incurring a massive fine, Magnolia's mercurial forward Calvin Abueva got slapped a hefty P20,000 fine, along with a one-game ban for flashing a dirty finger during the Hotshots' 77-87 loss to Barangay Ginebra Kings in their PBA Philippine Cup Manila Clasico game on Easter Sunday.PBA commissioner Willie Marcial made the announcement on Wednesday during the halftime of the Terrafirma-Meralco game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The 6-foot-2 Abueva flashed a dirty finger, an act that was seen on live television during the defense-oriented match between the two fierce PBA ball clubs at the Big Dome.The 'Beast's' latest infraction came at the heels of his huge P100,000 fine for making a mocking gesture on San Miguel Beer coach Jorge Gallent during Game 2 of the Finals between the Beermen and the Hotshots at the Mall of Asia Arena.
