AS an advocate for cultural preservation, Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah 'Mina' Pangandaman commended the National Historical Commission of the Philippines for its recent initiatives to safeguard the nation's cultural heritage.This recognition follows the recent signing of Memorandums of Agreement between the NHCP and the municipalities of Sibutu and Simunul, Tawi-Tawi, on Nov.
'We congratulate the NHCP for this recent success, especially these partnerships with local government units . With the help of NHCP, places like the Sheik Karimol Makhdum Burial Site remains alive and as symbols of our colorful culture. The DBM fully supports these collaborations that celebrate and protect the rich history of Filipino Muslim heritage,' the Budget secretary affirmed.
