Malacañang has declared holidays in various localities of the country to allow residents to participate in the celebration of their community festivals.

The holidays were contained in several proclamations signed last week by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of President Marcos.

Meanwhile, Proclamation 389 declared Dec. 22 a special non-working day in Bayawan, Negros Oriental for the city’s 23rd charter anniversary. San Jose in Occidental Mindoro will commemorate the 79th Liberation Day of Mindoro Island from Japanese occupation on Dec. 15, which was made a holiday through Proclamation 392.
