After the devastation caused by severe tropical storm Paeng, Barangay Nuro in Upi, Maguindanao del Norte received aid from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to Monday's "24 Oras" report, among the beneficiaries was teacher Lucia Francis, who is still busy cleaning remnants left by the typhoon at Nuro Central Elementary School.

Though almost everything was drenched in water and dirt due to the flood, she is still thankful for that the students were safe. In her 37 years of teaching, Francis said this is the first time a typhoon has led to this. "Pasalamat na lang din talaga kasi gabi nangyari. At least 'yung mga bata, nasa pamilya nila at wala sa 'min. Kung nagkataon, paano na lang? Ang tubig, abot dito sa kili-kili," she said.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
