Four high-value individuals and a female vendor were arrested in separate drug operations in Cebu City and Dalaguete town, resulting in the seizure of a staggering P1.1 billion worth of suspected shabu. The operations, conducted on January 23rd and 24th, 2025, targeted known drug traffickers and dismantled a suspected drug den.
A combined total of P1,107,400 million worth of suspected shabu was seized from four high-value individuals (HVIs) and a female vendor during separate drug operations in Cebu City and Dalaguete town in southern Cebu on January 23rd and 24th, 2025. In Cebu City, authorities apprehended two suspects, both classified as HVIs, resulting in the seizure of a total of P807,400 worth of suspected shabu. The first operation took place at 9:58 p.m.
on Thursday, January 23rd, when Kevin Villasin Manigos, alias 'Bentoy,' a 36-year-old resident of Barangay Guadalupe, was arrested on Saint Jude Street, Sitio Camansi, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City. During the arrest, 56 grams of suspected shabu valued at P380,800 and a motorcycle were recovered. At 3:37 a.m. on Friday, January 24th, another suspect was apprehended inside the Taboan Public Market in Barangay San Nicolas Proper. He was identified as Ariel Sumaylo, alias 'Aye,' a 29-year-old resident of Barangay Apas. Authorities seized 62 grams of suspected shabu worth P462,600, based on its standard drug price. In Dalaguete, two other HVIs and a female vendor were arrested following a raid on a suspected drug den in Barangay Caleriohan around 2 a.m. on Friday, January 24th. The HVI suspects were identified as Lito, a 53-year-old habal-habal driver, and Diyao, a 33-year-old who allegedly maintained the drug den. The vendor was identified as Margarit, a 39-year-old woman. A total of 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P300,000 was seized from them.
