On Jan. 31 in Mount Stewart, P.E.I., the RCMP executed a search warrant and seized several items, including a sandwich bag containing 56 pills of methamphetamine. After previously pleading guilty, Andrew James Myers, 42, was sentenced in provincial court in Charlottetown on Oct. 5 to 29 months in custody for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. - P.E.I. According to the facts previously read in court, on Jan. 31, the RCMP executed a search warrant for a residence on Main Street in Mount Stewart. Myers lived alone in a detached residence that was owned by Alan Stewart MacLean. When officers entered the residence, Myers was in the living room sitting near a coffee table. A pellet rifle and a baseball bat were also in the living room in a corner near the front door.Police searched the residence and seized 56 methamphetamine pills, 33.

MacLean said in court that he has never had anything to do with drugs, and he had no idea that Myers was dealing drugs. If he knew there was drug activity going on, Myers wouldn't have been allowed to stay at the residence, MacLean said. MacLean did say that he knew Myers previously went to prison for drug trafficking.Ng countered those claims and argued that the forfeited items were part of the drug operation.
