Director Jordan Peele actually rewrote his script just for half-Filipino, half-Puerto Rican Brandon Perea!

I want you to be in this movie.’” “You know, you take a million no’s, even more out here in Los Angeles when you’re pursuing a career in the entertainment industry,” answered the Chicago native. “When it comes to being a dancer or an actor, anything, if you’re auditioning, you know that you’re going to hear the word no far more than the word yes.”
