For the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP), the upcoming Dec. 19 verdict of a Quezon City court on the Maguindanao massacre case will not be full justice.

Members of the Iloilo media and various religious leaders hold an ecumenical prayer at the statue of Ilonggo journalist and hero Graciano Lopez Jaena Wednesday, a day before the verdict for the Maguindanao massacre. The event also coincided with Lopez Jaena’s 163rd birth anniversary.

The Nov. 23, 2009 massacre killed 58 people, 32 of whom were journalists, including Manila Bulletin correspondent Alejandro “Bong” Reblando.
