National University escaped Adamson in a defensive clash, 58-54, to claim the top spot in the UAAP Season 85 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Bulldogs, who are coming off an inspiring win against the defending champion University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, 80-75, last Oct. 12, picked up right where they left off to take their fourth win against one loss.
“Luckily, nakuha namin itong panalo na ito but still, we’re unsatisfied kasi outrebounded kami ngayon and ang dami naming binigay na points sa paint,” said Bulldogs head coach Jeff Napa.
