The Supreme Court (SC) has not acted on the plea for a temporary restraining order (TRO) on the implementation of the ban on provincial buses from plying along Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA).
SC sources said the three petitions against the ban were not even taken up in Tuesday’s full court session.
The MMDA has been directed to comment on the three petitions. It has shelved for further study the implementation of the ban under Regulation No. 19-002. The three petitions claimed that MMDA “exceeded its powers” when it issued the regulation “because it does not possess legislative nor police powers.”
