ILOILO CITY – No proposal has been submitted to local officials on the proposed bridge that will link world-famous Boracay Island to mainland Malay town in Aklan province.
A MAP released by the Department of Public Works and Highways on the proposed bridge to and from Boracay Island, the country’s premier beach destination.
Residents have been clamoring for answers from local officials after it was reported last August that bridge construction would get funding next year. The PPP Center listed on its website an unsolicited proposal from San Miguel Holdings Corp. to build a 1.2-kilometer bridge linking Boracay and mainland Malay.
