The country’s better management of COVID-19 infections helped improve its position in Nikkei Asia’s latest Recovery Index ranking.
In the Tokyo-based financial newspaper’s latest list, the Philippines landed 103rd with 41.5 points, a big jump from last month’s 121st with a score of 30.5. Li noted that mobility in the Philippines has slightly improved, with vaccination an area that needs enhancement, though they are seeing an increase in the administration of doses per day per capita, as the government ramps up inoculation.
