CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Col. Jay C. Dimaandal has been appointed as the new Pampanga police chief following the relief of Police Col. Levi Hope B. Basilio over the recent raid of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator hub in Porac, this province.
Dimaandal assumed the post on Independence Day in a ceremony at the Pampanga Police Provincial Office headquarters here presided over by Police Regional Office 3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr.
Dimaandal, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Sinaglaya Class of 2002, was the force commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion and chief of the regional Special Operations Unit of PRO-3 before assuming the post. “I am deeply grateful to Gov. Dennis ‘Delta’ Garcia Pineda for his unwavering support, guidance, and for entrusting me with the role of provincial director in Pampanga. It is an honor to collaborate with Gov. Pineda and other local agencies to enhance Pampanga's security, making it safer for residents, conducive for business, and a place where dreams can flourish in peace,” he said.
“As I step into this role, I am enthusiastic about partnering with our stakeholders to strengthen law enforcement, ensuring the Pampanga Police Provincial Office remains a beacon of safety, justice, and community engagement.”
