A TOTAL of 24 students from three universities in Cagayan Valley (Region 2) have received scholarship grants from the Gregorio P. Uy and Lee Peng Scholarship Foundation (GPULP Scholarship Foundation).
A TOTAL of 24 students from three universities in Cagayan Valley have received scholarship grants from the Gregorio P. Uy and Lee Peng Scholarship Foundation .According to the foundation, the scholars will receive full financial assistance and other means of support until they graduate and take their licensure examinations.
Scholarship Foundation Vice President Michael Uy noted that from the original 18 scholars, they expanded the list to 24 new scholars since more applicants have qualified.'It is our ardent hope that they will use this opportunity to forge their path to success and someday pay it forward. We are truly excited to embark on this journey with our scholars and their families, and to witness the great things they will do for society,' Uy said.
Scholarship Foundation said their 18 scholars have graduated, seven of which received Latin honors and some are currently doing their review in preparation for their respective board examinations and all expenses during this time are still covered.According to Uy, the foundation to date has a record of 100 percent passing rate in the Licensure Examination for Teachers, Civil Engineers Licensure Examination, and Agriculturists Licensure Examination among its scholars.
