ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Newfoundland and Labrador has earmarked over $300,000 for agricultural infrastructure projects to boost fruit and vegetable production.
A leading share of the money, $75,000, is going to Lester’s Farm Market Inc. for equipment to improve farmland productivity and extend fruit crop seasons. Larry Warren in Springdale is granted $18,134 for vegetable washer and storage facility upgrades to improve food safety practices and storage capacity.
Glenfair Farms Ltd. is getting $24,437 for an irrigation water pump to increase efficiency in cranberry crop production.
