The Newfoundland and Labrador government has reopened applications for the home heating rebate program to residents using furnace or stove oil to heat their home. - ThinkstockST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Newfoundland and Labrador has reopened applications to the provincial home heating rebate program.

The province said eligible households will receive between $200 and $500 for stove or furnace oil purchases if the adjusted family household income for 2022 was $150,000 or less.To apply, households will need to provide invoices proving the purchase of at least 250 litres of furnace or stove oil between Dec. 1, 2022, and Nov. 30, 2023.

Homes where heat is included in the rent, as well as fully subsidized Newfoundland and Labrador housing units, are not eligible for the supplement unless they can provide invoices confirming the minimum purchase of furnace or stove oil.Applications are available
