A group of residents concerned over the negative impacts of fireworks has made a presentation to Clare municipal council, in southwestern NS, seeking a ban on the use of fireworks in the municipality.
Some concerned citizens in the Municipality of Clare have approached the municipality seeking a ban on fireworks, or other options to curb or cut down on their use. TINA COMEAU PHOTOSCLARE, NS – The fireworks had been going on for four nights during the summer of August 2021 in Comeauville, Digby County.Denise Comeau and her husband Kenneth will never forget the impact.
Speaking about their equestrian business, Denise Comeau said they offer horse boarding, arena rental, horse lessons and teaching clinics. Three years ago they began breeding horses. “He could not express enough how unacceptable this was and we were very grateful for his full support,” she said. She locked herself in the house, but hadn’t noticed that their dog had escaped the home. When the father arrived home with another family member, they noticed something on the road.
To group suggests launching an educational campaign alerting people to the negative impacts of fireworks.
