Victorian police appeal for public help to find more than $1.25 million worth of jewellery that was stolen from a home in Eildon over the weekend.
"These are fairly distinctive pieces of jewellery – they're high-end, rare pieces, and they hold an incredible amount of sentimental value," said Detective Senior Constable Aaron Diwell from the Alexandra Crime Investigation Unit.
"These are very precious pieces of jewellery, and we are very keen to reunite them with their rightful owner – particularly this close to Christmas.Police are urging people to report seeing similar pieces for sale. "We would urge anyone with any information to come forward.
