The 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) will feature a Parade of Stars on December 21st in Manila, marking the festival's 50th anniversary. The event will showcase 10 films, with a route starting at the Kartilya ng Katipunan and ending at the Manila Central Post Office.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the Parade of Stars for the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival ( MMFF ) will be held in Manila on December 21. The parade will include 10 films, continuing the expanded lineup trend first done in 2023.
The parade will kick off at 2 pm at the Kartilya ng Katipunan and will traverse the following route: The parade will end at the Manila Central Post Office, where fans can enjoy a free concert and performances from the stars of this year’s lineup of entries. Last year, the Parade of Stars ran for 8.7 kilometers and certain roads were closed to make way for the float parade. MMDA personnel were also deployed to ensure crowd control and safety. The MMFF is celebrating its 50th anniversary. In celebration, the MMFF previously held the “Sine Sigla sa Singkwenta” campaign, which showcased 50 classic MMFF films in theaters nationwide for only P50 per screening last September 25 to October 15
