The Metro Manila Film Festival's (MMFF) annual Parade of Stars will take place this Saturday, December 21, impacting traffic flow in Manila.
The Metro Manila Film Festival ’s ( MMFF ) Parade of Stars will take place this Saturday, December 21, over a 12km route in Manila . While the parade proper will start at 2pm, select roads may be closed as early as 12pm, and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will also be enforcing a stop-and-go scheme to ensure the smooth flow of traffic around the area.
Fans are also expected to flood the streets of Manila as actors and other artists will be participating in the parade—ramping up pedestrian traffic as well. Those thinking about watching the parade should plan their trip around Manila thoughtfully while those hoping to avoid the traffic altogether should consider taking alternate routes. The Parade of Stars will start its 12km stretch at the Kartilya ng Katipunan Shrine along Natividad Lopez Street. It will then make its way towards the Jones Bridge which will lead it towards España and C.M. Recto Avenue. Residents along Taft Avenue will get a clear view of the parade as it passes through, ultimately making its way back to the Jones Bridge and ending its journey at the Manila Central Post Office.
