The six-minute-long eruption was part of a series of volcanic activities that included four volcanic earthquakes and the emission of 6,307 tons of sulfur dioxide. Observers noted voluminous plumes reaching up to 1,200 meters and drifting southwest, as well as a long-term deflation of the Taal Caldera and short-term inflation of its flanks.
