A SOCIAL climate fintech start-up from Mindoro won a funding grant worth P1 million for winning the grand prize of the Shell LiveWIRE Final Pitch competition held at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City. Farmvocacy runs a circular inclusive business model that promotes climate-smart, environment-friendly and high-yielding rice farming system.
Farmvocacy Chief Executive Officer Vincent Roy Mendoza holds the cheque and plaque of recognition for winning the Shell LiveWIRE Final Pitch competition held at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati City.
During the final presentation, Farmvocacy CEO Vincent Roy Mendoza convinced the panel of judges and the audience on how their advocacy works to ensure a sustainable future for the country in so far as food security is concerned. “At its very core, Shell LiveWIRE remains committed in its vision of promoting local growth by empowering individuals and communities. This is why it remains our flagship development program,” added Serge Bernal, vice president for corporate relations at Shell Pilipinas Corp. .
