In a Friday statement, Joint Task Force Storm said the three unidentified fatalities—two males and one female—were killed as the military hunted down the culprits of aJTF Storm spokesperson Captain Ryan Layug said the alleged NPA rebels belonged to Platoon Yakal of SRC Browser, which the military had been tracking from Northern Samar southwards to Samar province.
Troops from 801st Infantry Brigade recovered three M16 rifles, one AK47, and a shotgun from the encounter sites, the military said.
