Works will be available for viewing between March 2 to April 27
The poster for the rug-hooking exhibit. ContributedTRURO, N.S. — The Rug Hooking Guild of Nova Scotia will be holding an exhibit at the Truro Library showcasing 66 hand-hooked rugs based on designs from Mi'kmaq artists.
The rugs are inspired by designs by artists Gerald Gloade, Lorne Julien, Tara Francis, Phyllis Grant and Noella Moore. The purpose of the exhibit is to offer continued awareness for survivors of residential schools and missing Indigenous children. The exhibit will be held from March 2 to April 27, with an opening reception occurring on March 4 from 2 to 4 p.m.
