Mexico 's naval training ship Cuauhtémoc is back in the Philippines for a goodwill visit and is open for public viewing, Joseph Morong reported on "24 Oras."Aboard the ship are the sailors stationed in the yards as a salute to the landing country.According to the ambassador of Mexico , the visit demonstrates peaceful relations between the countries in these times. This is the ship's second visit to the Philippines.
The ship has around a hundred trainees of the Mexican Navy who came from South Korea before going to the Philippines.The report said the country's deep and long relationship with Mexico dates back to the galleon trade more than 200 years ago.Meanwhile, some navy trainees are said to be excited to have arrived in the Philippines.“I think it’s going to be a little special here,” said a trainee, Cecilia Ortiz.
