Many of the charges laid relate to lighting flares, riotous behaviour and violent disorder, after fans from the Melbourne Victory active area spilled onto the pitch.Police said there would be a "highly visible police presence" at AAMI Park for Monday's match between Melbourne Victory and Western United.
"This should send a very clear message that police will not tolerate this kind of behaviour at sporting matches."
