In the spirit of bayanihan, an indigenous group in Subic gave some of their fresh fruits and vegetables to actress Megan Young’s initiative of providing meals for frontlines. The produce were to be used as ingredients for hospital workers’ meals in Olongapo.

Actress Megan Young expressed her gratitude to the Aetas of Pastolan Village via her Instagram post yesterday, April 8.“The Aetas of Pastolan Village will be selling their produce at QRB Store along Binictican Road, Subic Bay Freeport Zone,” Young said. “If you live in that area or nearby, we hope you can buy produce from them.”

Their harvest includes papayas, saba bananas, cassava, avocado, taro and jackfruit. Young also showed some of the community’s fresh produce through a series of photos, together with the meal packs given to hospital workers.
