BACOLOD CITY - Victorias City, Negros Occidental Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez is torn between seeking re-election or running as congressman in the third district of the province.

The Municipal Council of E.B. Magalona has endorsed the young mayor as congressman after the seat was vacated by his uncle due to his new appointment. The municipal government and the council are committed to support the mayor as they believe in his serious intent of serving the third district, it added.
He said that his heart has been in Victorias City as he had invested so much time and effort in really helping develop the area.
