Manila Mayor Isko Moreno vowed to support small businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic should he become president in 2022.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Thursday, Oct. 28, vowed to support small businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic should he become president in 2022.
In his dialogue with the workers, Domagoso explained how he plans to apply the Mandanas ruling, which he also used in Manila, to help small businesses that are still suffering from the pandemic. He pointed out that as a result of the Mandanas Ruling by the Supreme Court in 2018, the internal revenue allotment are programmed to increase by 55 percent in the 2022 budget, reaching P1.08 trillion or 4.8 percent of the country’s gross domestic product compared to 3.5 percent of GDP in 2021.
“Di ba ganon ang pag-gugobyerno? Hindi iniisip yung sarili niya, ang iniisip niya yung sinasakup niya, yung pinaglilingkuran niya ,” he added.
